The Callaway County Republican Women’s Club was formed in March 1997 with the first meeting held in the home of D.  Moore and co-hosted by T. Davis.  Missouri Federated Republican Women (MoFRW) Parliamentarian (in 1997) R. Margason and D. Huett, 9th Congressional District President (in 1997), attended and provided information to the ladies gathered about Missouri Federation of Republican Women and beginning  a club.

It was decided at that meeting that it was indeed a good time to begin the Callaway County Republican Women’s Club.  Temporary officers were nominated; a constitution and by-laws were adopted; club dues were set at $10 per member (to cover local, state, and national dues); and regular meeting dates and time were established.  Everyone present shared the opinion that our fledgling club was going to make a difference in Callaway County.

And indeed it has since that first meeting.  Callaway County, District 20, has been represented by strong Republican candidates in the last 8 years.  Republicans across Callaway County have come together and “made a difference”.

The Women’s Club meets the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm at the Fulton Republican Headquarters in Fulton, Missouri.

Each spring and fall a membership dinner is held.  The Women’s Club assists the Callaway County Republican Central Committee with the Lincoln Days Banquet each spring.  A variety of fundraising events are held throughout Callaway County to promote Republican candidates and values.
