Callaway County Republicans Enjoy Historic Election Results

 

Fulton, MO – November 3rd, 2010

 

On November 2nd, 2010, Callaway County Republicans enjoyed an historic local election as they swept the contested ballot races in the county, something that has never been done before by Republicans in Callaway County. Those contested races include Presiding Commissioner, County Clerk, Circuit Clerk, Recorder of Deeds and Prosecuting Attorney. Although the Republicans were up against many well-known and established democratic candidates, they won every contested race by convincing margins.

 

The slate of experienced Republican candidates rode a wave of national and statewide Republican support as they added a new look to the County Courthouse. “Every single candidate of ours was qualified to run for these county seats and they worked extremely hard to win. We’re very proud of them, as they’ve shown that Americans are becoming more and more aware of the necessity to elect qualified, conservative individuals for local offices,” said Dean Powell, Chairman of the Callaway County Republican Central Committee.

 

After a long night watching ballots being counted and recording totals, the newly elected Presiding Commissioner, Gary Jungermann, told Republicans at their local watch party at Arris’ Pizza, “We’ve got to get to work!”

 

And with that, the Republicans take their historic election results to the County Courthouse where they’ll begin working on the local government.
